Since 2001, Rick has been part of the house band at Timpano Italian Chophouse in Orlando. The group, headed by musical director and entertainer Michael Lamy, backs up many of Central Florida’s top vocalists and musicians, which include Michelle Amato, Linda Cole, Suzy Park and Terry Myers.
He recently returned from a three-week, 10-state tour with the Mantovani Orchestra and Chorus, performing classical Christmas music standards.
Rick has had the opportunity to work with several nationally- and internationally-known headliners and acts touring the state. In the past few years he has performed with Charo, Buddy Greco, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Harry James Orchestra, Al Martino, Susan Anton, Valentino DiLorenzo, Greg Bonham, Bill Watrous (guest artist with the Altamonte Jazz Ensemble), Ellen Greene, Barbara McNair, and Rita McKenzie.
Born and raised in Newport, AR, Rick received a journalism degree and music education at the University of Missouri-Columbia, performing in the jazz lab band, vocal jazz ensemble, and symphony orchestra. After working as managing editor in his family’s newspaper business for a decade, he moved to Florida in 1989, dedicating himself to music as his primary career. He also owns Richolson Creative Services, LLC, offering pre-press and web design services.
